Good explanation tribute from Jason Scott @textfiles showing why Curt's involvement was significant. It's another example of where the fan base [including former staff employees] come through to help keep records and facts straight about a company's history. Atari and Sega fans have probably done more to save the butts of past company decisions that company executives didn't think of back then.
Games that run on batteries and eventually stop working. Fabulous idea. Games that run on servers and eventually cease to exist altogether. Wonderful concept. Let's go with it....pronto. Besides....no one from the future will care.

R.I.P. Curt. He was a great guy to do business with and was a zealot for all things Atari. He'll be missed greatly.

Man, so sad to hear this. Back about 10 years ago, Curt had hit me up to do some 3D modeling of Atari arcade cabinets for an Atari project that never saw the light of day. Great guy to work with and sorry to hear that he's no longer with us.
