Ways that MAME can fight America's inherent racism

As organizations and corporations across the world denounce America's inherent racism, so too should the MAME team release an official statement condemning racism and injustice and inequality in America. Furthermore, racist games like Sega's ESWAT (1990) should be removed from MAME. If you are not familiar with the game, players control racist police officers who murder peaceful protesters just trying to have their voices heard.

Similarly, Data East's Robocop (1988) should be removed as well. Just look at these peaceful protesters being gunned down in broad daylight.

MAME is also in the position to fight injustice by altering the way certain racist games are emulated. For example, in Boxing for the Atari 2600 (1980), the white boxer is player 1 and the black boxer is player 2, just like how America treats blacks as second class citizens. MAME can reverse this great injustice through emulation by making player 1 black and player 2 white.

Unfortunately, this list of ways MAME can fight racism is far from exhaustive. Please reply if you are aware of any other instances of racism in emulation. Thank you.

Well, obviously people can find racism in any video game or movie if they try hard enough. Maybe MAME should just discontinue further development and cancel the whole project all together. I like the way you think. Any movie that people might get triggered by should just be burned and destroyed. Same with books while we're all at it.
In all seriousness, what happened to George Floyd was horrific and no one should make light of it. It sickens me that this kind of stuff still goes on to this day

To paraphrase Yakov Smirnoff's 1980s era Communist Party standup routine.
"In New York Buffalo....you don't get to 'Shuffle off to Buffalo' Instead police shuffle you." ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tomato.gif)
'Boogaloo Bois' and coinop game Exidy Chiller could somehow be loosely associated with one another, but not sure exactly what unless the Bois practice Inquisition techniques.

Right, but black people seem more likely to be unarmed when attacked by the police and seem more likely to die as a result of it. The police seem to try harder not to kill white people.
If there hadn't been a video and there hadn't been a riot, then the officers wouldn't have been charged. Actually getting a prosecution is going to be an uphill struggle.
If they'd killed a white man then it wouldn't have required a riot for something to be done.
But yeah, every life matters, but a lot of people would read that and think "yeah, that makes sense, except of course for those blacks, it goes without saying that their lives don't matter".
It would be great if police tried harder not to kill anyone, but the country seems full of people with a cowboy complex who get their rocks off shooting bad guys and when they haven't got their fix then they start seeing bad guys everywhere.

How dare those fags, darkies, trannies, and other deviants think that they should stand on equal footing to you, the superior white man.
