I know what the latest version of MAME is, but seems like some games like Alpine Surfer still do not work. That is probably because they lack models, textures and controls. Here's what the MAME team needs to do: make the models right, make the textures right, make the controls right and make the games right and neat! I want these games to work!

iirc in the early 1990s, Geechy Guy 'delayed joke grenade' routine also included the description that the delayed joke grenade routine might get way too messy and blow up many more things than originally expected. I guess Geechy Guy eventually dropped that part.
I don't recall if it was Geechy Guy or someone else that was interviewed in a long ago LA Times calendar article, in which he explained "...my material might take out several unintended targets before it hits the appropriate target...so things might get messy along the way." I don't know why, but that sentence itself was amusing and made me laugh.
