Another good update and a surprise there seeing more Status game flyers still being
found when I was guessing you might have already found all those types of flyers by now.

This flyer find of the current lot is the best flyer addition since it might help clear up some guesses. It has some potential to be usable reference material to work with.

Flipper Jack - Jackson Co., Ltd. (1983) [Video Pinball]

TODO:

- remaining gfx/color issues
- measure clocks

GAME( 1983?, flipjack, 0, flipjack, flipjack, flipjack_state, empty_init, ROT270, "Jackson Co., Ltd.", "Flipper Jack", MACHINE_IMPERFECT_COLORS | MACHINE_SUPPORTS_SAVE ) // copyright not shown, datecodes on pcb suggests mid-1983

Glad to hear it. I was lucky since a flyer collector friend gave me the Flipper Jack flyer for free. I had never heard of the game, nor the manufacturer before. If anyone needs a high res scan, please PM me.

This game was one of those rare exceptions of being emulated first before a flyer was ever found. Most would be guessing that maybe there never was an advertisement flyer for the game, but you were able to get one to prove it did exist.

I wonder what other flyers he might have of "games already emulated in MAME, but no flyer yet being found". There has to be a few more of those cases.

My friend is a pinball flyer collector that doesn't collect video pinball game flyers, so probably not a lot.

Black Widow and Zwackery come to mind. I'm still looking for those.

Well that's an unfortunate choice of name for a kiddie game.

Thanks for the images.

The Mitsubishi Pajero is named after a kind of wild cat from South America - leopardus pajeros. AFAIK the cat is named after the region where it's found in the wild. How did this place come to be associated with wankers?

Spanish slang is weird.

It also explains why I've never seen or heard of the car until the day this was posted.

It's sold in North America as the Mitsubishi Montero.
