[CAPS0ff] Rainbow Islands (Extra Version) C-Chip dumped
#382993 - 07/05/19 01:22 PM

Rainbow Islands (Extra Version) is a variant of the original Rainbow Islands game with tweaked enemies and music.

The c-chip dumping process is destructive and unfortunately this game is relatively rare. However, Kevin Eshbach donated a chip in the spirit of faithfully preserving this game for generations to come.

Glad to see it was successfully dumped:

Thanks for donating your chip for the greater good Kevin.
No thanks to ‘TheGuru’ who sold the Rainbow Islands PCB that I sent him to remove the MCU from, and who still currently has my Rainbow Islands Extra PCB for sale that he refused to do the same.

Well im not fully versed in all things legal, but surely if you send someone a pcb with the understanding
that if possible the MCU is dumped and read out then surely if that cant be done he should at the very least
have returned the boards to you if that's what you wanted. obviously return postage costs would have to be
factored in.

To do the opposite of what you asked eg not attempt to dump the MCU or he was unable to do so then keep hold of the boards and sell them on sounds like plain ole theft to me, maybe you could contact the australian police with regards to this matter.??
