Report from PCI Sniffer for further information
#382523 - 05/22/19 09:46 AM Attachment: REPORT.TXT 6 KB (6 downloads)

I'm referring to a help article about PCI soundcards issues on the Easy MAME Cab website. There the author of this article wrote:

6. Your sound card model isn't supported by my drivers. Solution, contact me through the MAME message boards. Include your sound card's model information and a PCI Sniffer report (or lspci -v).

So, here I am. I got the report from PCI Sniffer and like to know who you are. Can anybody help?

http://easymamecab.mameworld.info administrator was desmatic.

I don't know when the last time he was on MAMEWorld, but I am sure it has been many many years, probably at least a decade. It's been so long the email address registered to him here is likely not working.

Last on arcadecontrols.com in 2006.

If you're trying to use desmatic's EasyCab, I expect you may be trying to get MAME for MS-DOS working. My advice is that you stop, use current MAME, Windows 7/8/10, and much newer PC hardware than what the report indicates you're trying to use.

Based on a quick look, if the report is correct then your NeoMagic Corp. NM2200 MagicMedia 256AV hardware is many many years obsolete and yet there still may never have been DOS drivers for the soundcard.

If this isn't for MAME but just DOS audio in general you may be better off seeking help at https://www.vogons.org 's Marvin subforum: https://www.vogons.org/viewforum.php?f=46

Yes, Maybe desmatic is no longer in this topic. But he lists some weird soundcard Drivers on his website:

http://vsynchmame.mameworld.info/

This stuff gave me hope that I will find a driver for my own card.

So I was keen, if he will reply to the email-adress on the bottom of that page.

Thanks for the suggested vogons-forum. I try me luck there also.

That's not desmatic. VSynchMAME was published by als4k. Also someone who's been gone for at least a decade.

Getting the right drivers for hardware that old? Probably your best bet.
