Consider it fortunate that any pcbs of that game system have even been found at this time.
Better cross fingers that any of the other needed pcbs can still be found including any paperwork manual/schematics for that type of unit.

>That means the game will be complete then in MAME

Supposing all of the pcbs and roms have been found and roms dumped in the future, SailorSat's type of skills will still be needed to get it running in MAME.

Great summary of past several weeks.

>Corrado Tomaselli dumped Namco Boxy Boy (SB2 alternate version)

Good to know this is now in the source code as a World region version and be the new parent rom since I am guessing the pcb had been verified as such.

Hello future emulation of many, many (A Plethora) of multiple home console pong units. Go ask El Guapo himself.

This is something. The wristwatch gaming fans that had 1980s / 1990s era wristwatches will be wanting to know if lcd wristwatch games can be dumped as well.

Aren't they basically the same as the game & watch / LCD handhelds being dumped and emulated, just... in a watch?

There's no reason why they couldn't be dumped and emulated in MAME, barring of course the usual reasons (little knowledge of the hardware used and converting the LCD and background artwork.)

I actually have a Tamagotchi clone thing I want to send in...

Every manufacturer used different MCUs, some (possibly the majority outside of Game + Watch and Tiger) have no known method of dumping.

I'd still say the ones we have done so far are the exceptions, not the rule.

no, Sled comms was fixed/implemented already .
at this point you can run 3x MAME instances linked together, game will boot and pass link tests, but doesn't show much, due to missing real "Main/Master" dump, or some Model2 emulation flaws, or both.

I didn't see that earlier, but good to know. Hope the main pcbs or whatever is left can still be found later.

Yep. We're lucky with what has been done so far as able to read out roms at this time.

Going by Mattel example as for lcd games it seems Computer Gin and Computer Chess are
offbeat examples of where cpu/mcu was already emulated even though the lcd output still required lots of work from hap. Who knows what obstacles the other Mattel lcd games will put up a challenge. And that pesky Rockwell chip for my favorite 1970s era Mattel led games is still a roadblock challenge in itself.

"Mograpper", the title is clearly visible in the video starting from around 0:30 in the top-left corner. Let's not make another Rhinoceros Berth Lead-Lead

Strangely the game itself says "Mogurapper".

But the official spelling seems to be Mograpper, at least according to the lyrics in the soundtrack's liner notes, so you're correct.

I think that's just how some Japanese people pronounce English words. I overheard a Japanese woman the other day pronounce plus as "plus-su". I don't understand the added u's but they do it.

That's because they construct and pronounce the words using their own fixed set of syllables, I think.

Exactly. The old unmamed page has a detailed explanation about it.

Still, it would be great to these dumped and emulated one day, as difficult as that seems to be. I had two of these watches as a kid - OMNI Space Invaders and the amazing GCE Game Time. Ah, memories.

Here one I would like to see dump and then added.
