Question about TaitoTypeX games

Hi guys. I'm interested in playing the infamous Taito TypeX games and was just wondering what the emulation status is on this set of games? I have the MAME CHD set and was wondering if all the Taito Type X games dumped so far are contained in this CHD set? If so, how well does MAME run games like say, GigaWing, BlazBlue, ChaosBreaker, etc?

MAME doesn't run Taito TypeX games at all.

It's not really an emulator. It's a shim that runs the binaries natively under Windows. There are malware concerns about it, though, and it has anti-reverse engineering DRM that makes it even more suspicious.

technically it is "a bit emulator" - these "Type X launcher" tools redirecting serial port (iirc COM2) access, to the code which emulate Type X/2 JVS host and JVS I/O board, and getting inputs from common DInput/Xinput APIs.
