I set the video option to soft. I got this part fix, (Updated) Looks horrible when it all blurry.

Not yet... looks like we need a scan of the backdrop artwork, also.
Blurry because of the way MAME handles dot matrix screens.
IANAP... so I don't know the details or complications... but you can see similar issues on other games with dot matrix displays (e.g. Star Wars Pinball or other pinball games).
It would be cool for a DM display to look like a DM display... not sure if something like that is in future plans or not.
