Thanks to handheldmuseum.com for their photo. This was the first hand-held I ever owned, and I don't remember it being this difficult to play. It was a real bitch figuring out the LEDs on this, but it's playable now. Obviously the sound in the driver isn't finished, but if the devs find it easier, there are several videos of this on YouTube that samples could be clipped from.
To set number of players: hold left flipper while pressing right flipper. To set game speed: hold right flipper while pressing left flipper.

Starting from MAME 0.208, this Parker Bros Wildfire artwork won't work anymore. See attachment for a fixed .lay file. The LED IDs were changed(nothing else).

If anyone ever feels like improving this artwork, see attachment for a high resolution scan of the bezel done by Sean Riddle in 2015. It needs brightness correction(top part especially), and perspective skew correction since the top part is bent forward so it didn't sit completely flat on the scanner.

Perfect timing hap! I mentioned it to Mr. Do in our chats (I cannot remember why mess.redump.net/artwork never hosted it, maybe it just slipped through the cracks?) so it is probably on his to-do list somewhere.

Thanks for this fix, although I'm getting an awful lot of blinking that doesn't match the effects of the internal Wildfire artwork. Anybody else here have that problem?
If so, I guess something changed in the intervening four years.

Yes, it simulates two brightness levels.
So instead of state = 0, 1 for off, on, it's now: state = 0, 1, 2 for off, on(dim), on(bright).
