can you bring back original version numbering in catver.ini?
for example, .001 instead of .1.
catver.ini became unsuable in frontends, when you sort by version, because of new numbering (see screenshot).

Are you aware that MAME's *proper* version number during that time period was (for example) "MAME 0.1"? "0.1" is historically accurate.

also, *facepalm*.
did you even read my post? it's not about history, it's about correct sorting in frontends.
