I was browsing the internet for any obscure emulation topics and found this:

This emulator attempted to run Konami M2 arcade games and was pretty advanced to the point it could boot and run games with some 3d (well nearly all but some glitches pertain). However, it was abandoned in 2009. The good news is the emulator has the source code meaning someone else may take a look (not to mention the code would have to be recompiled to run a different game).

I don't know if this would be of any use or not as this wasn't mentioned on this forum before.

EDIT: Oh man they were right on how slow (and probably unoptimized) this is. Here is a screenshot I managed to produce.
