Added a png of an atari 2600 to snap.zip and named it a2600 but it doesn't display when I click in the system.
Missing something?

You say you added it to snap.zip? Does it work from a compressed file?
I just have the .png in the snap folder and works fine...

and it still doesn't detect it.
Wonder if there are pic dimension/file size requirements?
my snap.zip works fine otherwise(Progetto snaps package)

How old is your MAME? Older versions of MAME don't support PNG features like Adam7 interlace and some less common colour modes. I think MAME 0.189 is when PNG support was improved.

When you added it to snaps.zip did it include the full pathway from where you had the a2600.png file?
If it did put it in a sub-folder, MAME won't find it, even if it's not compressed.

Pessimist: Oh, this can't get any worse!
Optimist: Yes, it can!

So the snaps for the systems weren't showing because the image selection was on cabinets, for which I had no cab images, so it of course showed no cab pics. I must've accidentally clicked it over at some point.
Very sorry for wasting everyone's time. My vision sucks. I miss things frequently because of it.
