Hi guys, I've got a bit of a problem with the sound/audio in Mame and I'm not sure what it is. It seems since doing a Windows update (quite a large one size wise, included the designing update including Paint 3D etc (Windows 10 64bit), when I load a game the first time, say after a restart of the computer, the sound is fine. After exiting the game and re-running it the sound/audio is gone on the second run and subsequent runs, until I restart the computer. Doesn't matter what game I run, they all behave the same way. I doesn't make any difference using the built in GUI either, but I'm using Emu Loader 8.3 with Mame arcade 64bit build 0.191+ compiled on 25th of November. Any ideas?.

Sounds like a driver issue. Do you have a dedicated sound card? If not, what's the make and model of your motherboard?

It's an Asus N53S i7 laptop, under the Device Manager it says under Sound that it uses a High Definition Audio Device, driver provided by Microsoft dated 28-Sep-2017, but also says it has Realtek High Definition Audio driver provided by Realtek Semiconductor Corp 28-July-2015. Uninstalling the drivers and re-installing them still results in the same problem with Mame.

I think it may have been just a moment my computer was having as it seems to have been resolved somehow, thanks for your reply, MooglyGuy. I'll come back if I have the issue again.
