A couple of things:
- A little more info plz... arcade monitor or lcd or crt or ?
-Does the motherboard have onboard video that you turned off in the bios 1st or is the video only the PCIe slot? Is the signal coming from the AVGA(I imagine it is?)
-Did you run the installer as admin?
-What does the failure report say?
-Did you try to Update Driver for the "Basic Graphic Controller" & then force install the Ultimarc ArcadeVGA Drivers off of the CD?
FWIW - I haven't tried installing this since I fought with mine with Windows 8 so these are just basic suggestions to try. Actually I didn't know that the drivers were updated for Win 10 until I saw your post & looked, but it sounds & looks like, from the new web page, that this process is a WHOLE lot easier now. Hopefully your problem is just a simple one & 1 of these will get you going in the right direction.
Another thing to watch out for is updates...Windows used to try to update the old AVGA drivers to the newest version of the ATI drivers available every time since they were outdated. This of course wiped out all the specialty drivers needed for the card to work correctly in MAME, & thus if you let an update slip by you it meant uninstalling everything & doing it again. I'm not sure how Windows 10 handles this install now, seeing as how it upgrades everything for you without asking permission unless you circumvent it.

* If I get time over the holiday weekend I might mess around with mine for a little bit & see what I run into. I'll let you know if I find anything out...

Hello
some good and some strange news ...
First of all the Driver on the CD was not complete.
I downloaded here https://www.ultimarc.com/avgadrivers.html
the Driver Package and it was possible to install the Driver under Win 10 64 bit. But not perfectly.
Than i was confused and installed the Win 7 64 Bit OS.
Everything was perfect. Driver Package installed sucessful. Computer shown the full Name of the GPU.
IŽm able to switch all Resolutions....
Now to the strange thing ...
I extended my main display.
1st Display Windows
2nd Display AVAG
How can i only Run MAME on Display 2 without seeing the same MAME on Display 1 ?
Onother thing is when i run some games on FBA i have to move manually the running Game window on
Display 2. When i hit alt enter for getting fullscreen the FBA switches back to display 1 ....

And that may work with FBA too, I'm not sure on that though. Look into it's cfg or ini file & go from there.

I have some more Problems using FBA but maybe i should change
to MAME complete ?
One other Q
Tomorrow i receive my CRT TV. I also purchased an VGA to RGB
cable for using the Ultimarc AVAG5000 on my CRT Screen.
I am new on this kind of "Hobby" but iŽd love to learn much from u guys.
How to set this up ? I guess i just have to set the resolution to 640 x 480.
Set the CRT to Mainwindow. On the MAME Ini turn sitchres to on so
MAME should set the started game to the correct resolution ?
So the curious thing is when i start trisync what button do i have to press
while using a regular CRT TV

It is a Trisync crt monitor right? Not just a regular crt?
I'm not sure about the new drivers or the Trisync but with my old 15k arcade monitor, you could only use it by itself with the AVGA. It can't output the 2 different signals to the 2 outputs at the same time. (Maybe this changed?) Or maybe you can with the Trisync? I don't have one so I'm not sure on that part...
Yes, so long as you have -switchres enabled in the ini (or wherever) MAME should switch to the correct resolution for you.
Also remember, this is all coming from my memories of doing this years ago so I apologize if I'm incorrect on any details!
