Error while compiling MAME

Hi all,
since a few weeks, on one of my 3 machines where I keep and compile MAME, I get the following error:

[MINGW64] C:\msys64\src\mame>git pull -v --no-rebase --progress "origin"
fatal: BUG: disabling cancellation: Invalid argument
On the other 2 machines the same command works fine.
Can some good soul help me?
Should I simply wipe my local MAME repository and start from scratch?

Answering my own question:
I downloaded from mamedev's website msys64-2017-02-05.exe and re-installed it.
Problem solved!
