Very Very nice find & fast in getting it into next Mame 0.189 release. Only 27 approx days until I can get to play this, unless someone nice is gonna send me the build with it in & I will promise not to play too much.
Thanks to all involved in getting this one preserved.

I don't think you would find anyone jumping up for the opportunity to destroy their board either for a "might help". I think it's correctly emulated anyway, but don't remember details.

well, it's correctly simulated to the extent the game needs because Cave really didn't care to make much use of the protection chips. There are some bootup tasks it performs that we don't emulate (like the checksum on the program rom, and only uploading the encryption table if it matches) but for the purpose of emulation they don't matter.
we have no attack plan for it anyway, and it's one of the later chip types, so even if we get code running on it (which is unlikely, it's not configured to run from any kind of external rom) we can't read out the first ~0x200 bytes.

I'm sorry Smitdog I've tried loads of times to compile my own Mame ui. But never got it to work, only the errors worked. I can update my roms & chd files & a few other things but compiling to me is like trying to make a snowman out of rain on a hot summer's day. If someone has compiled a Mame ui. Then you can always press that upload button & send it me in a message along with what exact files I would need too. I can wait though til next release but seriously UPLOAD SEND Thanks

It's built exes on that site, not source code. You just need to download it. The next one that shows up should have it.

Thanks Smitdogg it is Ashura-X build that was compiled at 10:24 ? All the posts that I read on here it's the first time I've heard of him doing nightly builds. Thanks again Smitdogg but it's nearly 04:30am in the morning here in England the 0 meaning oh my god its time for some sleep, So it will have to wait now on my desktop for a few hours.

I think he has some named incorrectly. I would guess the
03/08/2017-09:49 - Based on GIT : 224cfaeb6a3ceac946a0bf6321a822e161c494c6 - MAME ver 0.188
Is the current latest and wait for a "04/08-2017 Based on GIT" version to appear (or later).

agard, you can just play DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou or the Black Label version, it's not a new game.
Unless you're excited for an alternative title screen and English storyline.
