It recently came to my attention that most of the guys who do vector work on here use some kind of pad that enables them to draw on the monitor with a pen. That certainly explains how they're able to crank this shit out so fast and with such quality where me and my point-to-point mouse clicks take a hundred years even to do simplistic things like this.
My question is: what device are you using to trace on?

For me personally, back when I was doing the artwork, I just used Photoshop to thoroughly clean everything up nicely since I'm pretty fast with it, then vector small pieces at a time with Vector Magic then piece them back together. I did a few using Illustrator way early on but never really got comfortable using it as it seemed too slow of a process.
Would love to get back into it but the last few times I've tried, I get pulled away from it for various life reasons.
I do check the forums regularly still and everyone is doing some good work.

For the record - and it'll be no surprise to anyone - mine are all mouse clicking in Photoshop.
Albeit, I don't use a traditional mouse, preferring trackballs.....
