DirectInput absolute mode for Mayflash Wiimote PC Adapter

Hey all! I have tried to search the forums, but couldn't find anything that helped.
When I launch a game in Mame (0.119) I get a total of 4 info boxes, which reads:
DirectInput: Unable to set absolute mode for joystick 5 (Mayflash Wiimote PC Adapter).
I'm thinking it can be fixed if I can find a way to disable the four wii-motes in MAME. I am not intending to use them within MAME anyway. I do not know where to fix it though - i have checked several cfg's, but maybe not the right one.
I do not want to unplug them, as they are used for other emulators on my system.
The messages doesn't show up in the latest MAME release, but I have loads of settings accumulated over time, so I hope I don't have to upgrade for now.
Any tips?

Your English is fine, Norskjävel. 
Unfortunately, 0.119 is quite a number of years old at this point, and given the sheer amount of development that has gone into MAME since then, as well as the fluid nature of the team's population, we can't really support versions that old.
For what it's worth, we understand the effort that it would take to remake your settings, but consider on the other hand the amount of effort that has gone into making MAME better over the past decade.

Yeah, i get that, I was just hoping for a quickfix such as editing a config or something. I'll just upgrade I guess, unless someone comes up with a brilliant solution
