I haven't seen any content beyond the early survival of the first few days for OND, but even in its early access state it looks to have more to it than the inch-deep-ocean of NMS.
What happens once you can get off the starting planet of OND, I've no idea. It could fall apart at that point for all I know.
Taking the price into consideration, it wins hands down, and NMS should have shipped at about the same $25, but for the influence of Sony (if I had to guess at a reason for the AAA price tag). I'd own NMS now if it had, but as time goes on the purchase price threshold drops, and as it stands now I'd pay $10 if they don't get some content patches out.
If I don't have reason to though, I won't buy OND in early access, as I've seen too many games never get out of that state successfully, some I've wanted and some I've purchased. If there is a reason, maybe.
