No sure I understand your question; don't they appear in alphabetical order already ?
I've already mentioned it but I think this is a more important Q; wouldn't it be better if we could search by title ? The search field in UI/MEWUI is looking for files names, which is pretty unconvenient and frustrating. Since there's so much complaints about UI/MEWUI that's one thing that would make it more friendly and acceptable to people.

Favorites seem to appear in the order in which they were added.
Also just noticed that when games are removed from favorites (via right-click/"configure machine" menu), they still show until a refresh is forced. No problem when they are removed using the star icon.
I agree about searches, an option to toggle various search types would be nice.

I'm Digging the internal gui and I'm ready to ween myself off of front ends/mameui variants. I like to keep a few hundred games in my fave folder. I't would be nice if I could control how they are listed.
Keep up the good work MAME crew!

I submitted a pull request for this, if the code is ok and is accepted, the list of favorites will be automatically ordered by description.

Fixed, thanks for the feedback.

Hi Dankan, any updates on preserving the filters when you drill down into a console like A2600? They weren't maintained when you went back up and out, and then back in when last I checked. Thanks -

I made a pull request for this, if it is accepted do a test to see if it works as you would expect.
Forget it, it has been rejected.

Personally speaking, I'd like to see an option in the Available filter that filters out non-arcade games and shows only arcade games.

It is intentionally designed in this manner, because in the favorites list there also might be some singles software.

what is the problem with saving them to text file, too?
