What shall I do to see BGFX graphics effects like in MAME v173?
MAME v173 BGFX effects (I like it):
MAME 174 BGFX effects (I like it "less"):

Change the settings until you like it "more".

If that would be so easy, with pleasure. I used mame.ini from v173 (with BGFX set), nothing changed then run MAME v174 with the same mame.ini and that's the effect :P

Adjust the sliders to your liking, and then manually write the new values in as the default values in bgfx/chains/hlsl.json, line 58 onward.

Exactly as Mooglguy said. This is a work in progress that changes almost every build and what settings worked for you last time won't look the same next time. So you have to go in and manually change them to get the same effect that you like. I usually have to adjust settings every time I update to the new build or the compile the latest dev version.

A solution might be to compare values looking at both 0.173 hlsl.json and 0.174 hlsl.json
Then you can carefully edit certain values in the 0.174 hlsl.json by eyeballing the 0.173 hlsl.json
Just don't make mistakes when you edit
