Hi everyone,
I just wanted to ask if anyone knew if there had been any progress dumping or documenting the original Galaxy Force which Shoutime acquired? I've always been insanely curious about this game. Galaxy Force is my favourite Sega golden age shooter and I've always been amazed there was a significantly different version released, however briefly.
In terms of the differences, I know there were only four stages in the original release, but does anyone know which stages were missing? How the stage layouts were different? If you could still choose your starting stage? How the supposed infinite play bug worked? Gah! So many questions!
Perhaps this is one of those situations where the dump cannot take place yet or cannot be released. That's fine. If there's anything which can be done to help or if anyone has any information about the original release I'd be really grateful.

All I can say is that the arcade PCB collector's market is very tricky to navigate. There have multiple instances of people owning things that are not dumped (or "released") but for whatever reason(s) this information and data still sits undocumented, waiting for the right time to surface. So, we patiently wait until the day that all slave PCB's are finally freed.= for the sake of preservation and documentation (not free games).

Cool. Thanks.
I'm not overly interested in playing the original Galaxy Force as by all accounts the 'II' release is vastly superior. I'm just curious about the differences. I'll carry on waiting. I'm a patient guy 
I think it's pretty amazing that even Sega themselves don't have the code for the original release. That is an impressive find by ShouTime!
