Controls Bandai Super Vision 8000
#353892 - 05/04/16 05:16 AM

Hello,

I want to know if there is some way to configure the controls of the Bandai Super Vision 8000 system, I tried via Tab key, but this system doesnt show any menu. I need to reconfigure the controls so it fits with my arcade controls, the fire button for my arcade should be Z key

Thanks for reading this

huh?!?

you have to press ScrlLock to enable partial keyboard emulation, though, or the TAB menu is disabled as in home computer emulation...

It is a console, just for whatever reason a lot of early consoles had very non-standard input systems, lots of buttons, weird analog joysticks etc. (I say early, even the Jaguar was guilty of this)

admittedly the input menus could be better organized, especially in cases like this, we could do with some approximate visualization of the controllers and the dividing of the menu into sub-menus for each controller.

More like Intellivison controllers.

the OP problem was Full vs Partial Keyboard emulation though...
the TAB menu did not show up and he was unaware of it

well, MAME chooses whether to enable keyboard emulation or not, depending on how the developer who worked on the driver implemented the machine inputs
In this case, it has been chosen to use "keyboard" inputs in the emulated machine and thus you have to switch with ScrlLock

I have just changed the driver to use "keypad" inputs in the emulated machine, instead, so that ScrlLock won't be necessary in 0.174
