If your printed lyrics include the line "Quarter past three (sic)..." then they are neither complete nor accurate.

No, that is a mindless copy/paste from some other source, and you have likely never even heard the song.
Every damn site I went to.
Pages of Google search results.
One site got THAT line right (the word sung is "six," not "three (sic)"), but still left out some stuff at the end.
Someone, somewhere, added that "(sic)" to indicate that the official printed lyrics for Lime Street Blues are incorrect, and the rest of the world just stole the text off that site.

I'm not sure I get it, either. The whole point of putting "(sic)" beside a given set of text is to indicate that it is incorrect spelling or grammar-wise, but is accurate to the source material. That's why you often see it used when news articles quote some other source that has typos in it.

Right. It makes no sense when it is song lyrics, and the word sung is six, not the three they have. It only makes sense if you're citing an error in the printed lyrics, but if you're offering the lyrics, you should just have the right word.
The song is Lime Street Blues, and I was trying to get lyrics just to fill in the data.

Oh. Definitely B-side 60s. Seems retro for '67.

It would be my parents' music, except that as far as I can tell they didn't listen to '60s rock. They only bought a record player in '74 or '75 (after buying a house), and had a collection of LPs and 8-tracks of that time. My mother listened to mostly country, and I've no recollection of what my father listened to.
