cant run Virtua Racing on Mame 0.153 - please help

Hi,
ive installed mame 0.153 and neo geo games running very well.
But what must i do to get Virtua Racing working? Where must i put the Rom into? Do i Need a Sega Bios? Please help me.

0.153 is 2 years old at this point, so I'm not sure.
I know it does now, but I'm not sure it did then.

Why would any sane person run a version of MAME that is so old. Its not like the latest version is hard to get working (or to find ROMs for if you spend 5 minutes with Google)

Newer versions of MAME require the "m1comm" Model 1 networking BIOS for Virtua Racing (and other Model 1 games).
