Aaron still works at Microsoft. His code often looks a lot like Microsoft code samples.

Yup. His implementations of DDraw and D3D were very much in the MS house style as seen in their sample code.
That said, MAME itself no longer has much to do with Aaron's code, especially in the Windows OSD layer.

Like Twisty has done in the past, at some point here I'll be cleaning up devquotes, disabling outdated ones, and adding new ones if anyone has any to nominate ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif)
