The downloads via github are a bit different (but always with a prevalence of 64bit)

FWIW, MAMEUIFX 64-bit quite perfectly doubles in number of downloads the 32-bit:

32-bit 0.170 are 3000+, 64-bit are 6000+

Oddly, there never was a MAME 0.42

0.37 and a myriad of betas -> 0.53

Not really. Main sites for downloading mame are mamedev.org and mameui.info plus some other with derrative. Major Geeks is jest non popular mame mirror.
