Sega Model 1 issues with recent MAME

Trying to get Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighter running in 169 (64bit win) with what I believe to be the current roms. I get the "selected game is missing one or more required rom or chd." I can run the games in 162 - do Model 1 games require a new bios or something else that I'm missing?
Thanks

Sometimes new MAME versions have one or more ROMS changed, so you will have to see which files are missing from your current set (MAME tells you which files are missing) and search for them on the internet.

Thanks Roger. Where does MAME list the missing components? Pretty sure these are the up to date ROMS (as stated by a reputable distributer)

I assume you need the recently added "m1comm.zip" (m1 communication board rom) which allows multiple computers to simulate the multi-player networking between computers when properly set up.
