Computer Space and Galaxy Game would never be parent and clone, they're completely different hardware. So this *probably* should extend to the artwork file, and not have both Computer Space and Galaxy Game in the same file, or the artwork for Computer Space named for Galaxy Game, but I don't make the call.
I provided a link to online Galaxy Game cabinet photos in a previous post if you really want to make a Galaxy Game bezel. Obviously a one-off, given the game history. https://www.google.com/search?safe=off&tbm=isch&q=%22Galaxy+game%22+1971
I dunno what you should do then. "compspac.zip", "compspace.zip", "cmpspace.zip", "cspace.zip" - it will probably be one of these four though.

Galaxy Game - PDP-11/20 (1971) I found the Galaxy Game cabinet here. The game have a green tint screen showing on this page. http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/spacewar/spacewar.htm
This probably different game version than what MAME have. You can see there no box in the middle of the screen. Plus the bars are different.

Spacewar! (PDP-1) have a very cool effect. Green glowing on movement. While everything else is white not moving. Maybe actually in colors?
I don't think MAME can do this effect. This will show all white on MAME.

What?! No green, two-player view?!
Just kidding NV, great work as always. You're the master of the sparkle cabs.

They don't need to be parent-clone. If you name the layout file "default.lay" (as NV has done) you can change the game by just renaming the artwork zip to match the ROM. I believe Mr Do did the same with all the Neogeo games.

I know this, I was more commenting on the confusion of Computer Space and Galaxy Game than anything else.
