Congrats with that long time search eventually being successful and Stiletto can eventually close out that entry or update the text description within that entry.
-- Xexex (USA)
Also called "Orius". If this existed, version would likely be "UAA". Supposedly Xexex was called "Orius" in an early 90's issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine. Existence unproven --
This reminds me of the other unexpected find of the English language region of Konami's Crazy Cross being found just a couple years earlier.

I actually prefer the title 'Orius' but clearly Konami believe the true name to be Xexex. Makes me wonder why this version ended up with the alt. name at all.

Xexex is a cooler name, it sounds sexy - Orius sounds like a Roman Oreo or something. Maybe they Xexex sounded too much like sex for Americans.

Xexex also better fits the (admittedly still rare in 1991) 90s aesthetic of putting the letter "X" in everything.
As far as sounding like sex, well, just look at Smit's post title :-)

Because that would be completely irrelevant and humourless?
I found it mildly amusing that Konami ripped off the F1 1989 opening for their Xexex intro and assumed few would know of such trivia.
