Space Attack Backdrop

Finally got around to taking photo's of my Space Attack backdrop. I removed the mirror, bezel glass, marquee light to take the photos. I think it's an improvement over the existing photo, just needs the angles on the sides cleaned up(dark blue). If someone want's to work their magic on this, that would be great. Cheers.

Hello Myclone.
I'm probably not the one to tackle this, but nonetheless I had a quick go.
Don't know if it's right..... I put the Zip in my Dropbox, you can get it here:
Space Attack (New Backdrop)
As an interesting note, those two angles that need erasing for this to work in Mame - don't seem exactly symmetrical, so some liberties must be taken.

Sweet Myclone, nice to see you around. The more the merrier around here. Stick around awhile. Now if we could only lure back Kiltron.
Thanks for the backdrop. Looks good
Any other scans of other stuff (marquee, bezel) would be great. A few cab pictures would be nice also. I've been making more cab, marquee, control panel & side art packs to use in frontends.

Is the game screen blue? I wonder how this effect the artwork when there is a bright blue showing. Blue is showing on the MAME screen.

Color needs to be turned off, even though it doesn't look bad with the blue. Hit tab while in game, machine configuration. The game has a black and white monitor with color overlays

Looks good, thanks. The angles on the sides look too big, they are hardly noticeable in the game. I'll try to take more photo's with the backdrop out of the game. It's hard to get the right angle with the big control panel in the way and the sides etc.

Was this arcade game popular? I don't remember it in the arcades. It was never ported to any home console, except the Emerson Arcadia.
And was this Sega's first non-discrete arcade game? Sega released a bunch of games in 1979, was this the first one?

Oh thanks for telling me that. I was looking in the video options for that.
