Arcade monitor artwork
#343247 - 08/01/15 02:18 AM

¿Has anybody worked in this idea? Today I've been a while with Photoshop. My idea is to create a bezel that that looks like an arcade monitor on a generic cabinet and without reducing the display area. I've made a dark textured background and the black border of the monitor, with a little of light to create volume and some shadow. I'll keep on trying different ideas. There's also some darkening on the borders of the display area. I don't understand why hlsl allows only the darkening of corners and not the whole border of the screen.

I don't use HLSL, so I'm not much help. You might want to check out some of my efforts just to see how depth can be achieved (You'll see my thread here under the title "Vaughan's Custom Bezels". There's also a thread from big10p that includes his series of "Virtual Cabs" which might be of interest.

Keep playing - and good luck!
