Quote: 70% of girls said it doesn’t matter and 78% of boys said it doesn’t matter. Interestingly, boys care less about playing as a male character as they age and girls care more about playing as a female one.
This is a snapshot of varying ages at the current time, NOT an extended study of people as they age. These things are changing right now, so surveying different age groups does not give "aging" information.
Quote: 55% of boys who identify as gamers think there should be more female heroes in games, and 57% believe that female characters are too often treated as sex objects.
This ad is the same thing that has been used to sell crap games as far back as you care to look, but now it's a video rather than a print ad. It still has no relevance to the actual game. Beyond the normal annoyance of having your screen hijacked as you try to get to the site you're looking for, that irrelevance is at issue. They're using sex to sell war, and not even emotionally intense war, but dry, if very simplified, battles. Were this a game where we played as a character portrayed by Ms. Upton in battles that looked like those in the ads, they'd be fine (and the game would be... better selling).
They aren't adding anything with that piece, it seems just to repeat the relevant content of the short article that they then link to. Well, other than the first paragraph.
Yeah when I see tits in the ad, there damn well better be tits in the game.

Yeah. Then the next thing you know your son will be telling you this...
