The Mazan name input system is legen-dary.

Mazan input system is PITA
best thing come to my mind - to map sword X/Y movement to mouse, and its angle control to some analog stick.
but yeah, its far from real sword experience...

I still cant figure out how Star Wars Racer Arcade engines work. I mean, i can see in the bios screen that all controls are mapped but i dont think they work propertly.

Engines have a lever, you must put the power to the maximum in order the accelerate and to medium in order to reach maximum speed. But i dont know, exactly, how to do it with both analog controls (analog left and right). It doesnt mind if i map it to 360 nub or triggers, it just doesnt seems to work.

Its barely playable because the speed goes down a lot when cornering. I have made 1st in all circuits only on very easy xD

then you doesn't touch anything - both levers pushed forward at max, so pod goes at max acceleration.
if you press left - left lever will be pulled back - left engine gets less power - pod turn left.
also there is boost button..

Are you sure the original arcade works like that? I thought it have a wide range of power levels, in order to better acceleration or faster top speed.

original controls is a two independent lewers for both engines. up to accel, down to brake. currently both lewers are linked, if you turn left, one brake is on, another is back... so technically, it is not exactly the same as on the real arcade, as I told to MetalliC, but he refused to fix it

tbh - I have no idea, the idea was to make it as much simple to use.
but if player must push levers NOT at max to reach maximum speed, but somewhat at medium - its easy to change it.
lets say to use Analog 1 up/down and Analog 2 up/down for levers control

I'd really like to now how controls works in real Pod Race machine

you are wrong, levers is not connected, they are independent, can be pressed both for example

hehe, I was hoping to get you out from NES games RE back to project and fix it by yourself

I'm just guessing it because the game is quite impossible to beat otherwise, even with the three boost.

this reminds me Nascar issue - there almost impossible to catch another racers, so I think its something timings/statuses/IRQs related, which makes game engines work wrong. so I'll leave it as is for now.

anyway, I've made another quickfix followup, mainly for Cave Mahjong players

Star Wars racer has been retard-hard at every arcade I've seen it at. Is there a service mode option for difficulty?

Just saying. Look at the screen. Beside the kid should be sitting back. Not close to the screen. Mini machine?

This one look correct. http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=flyer&db=videodb&id=1550&image=2

I hooked Demul up to 2 Throttles and Podracer worked fine. The only issue is that the center point of the axis was considered full speed. In other words, it was only using the "minus" section of the Z axis. Does anyone know a way to trick Demul into using the full Z axis of a controller?

Now, I know this may be a really revolutionary concept for you, Dullaron, but believe it or not, some arcade machines actually had more than one physical design!

I hope they update the updated update with a new gpuDX10.dll because my setup runs like poop with gpuDX11.dll.
