Just saw Terminator
#342156 - 07/05/15 12:29 AM

I was the only one in the theater who stuck around through all the ending credits, which is unusual because usually there are a handful of us who stick it out,

Meaning I'm the only one in THIS showing at least, who knows how it REALLY ends.

There was a guy sitting in the row ahead of us who shouted out "There's more in one minute!"....so we stayed to watch it....there were still people who left, despite the tip of more story.

I know it's been getting mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed it. I thought it was more fun than "Terminator Salvation" (which I also liked). *SPOILERS*...

I was hoping Matt Smith would have been in more though.

As a huge terminator fan, I have mixed feelings, as it sort of negates everything you know about the franchise. I originally thought Matt Smith was in the time travel sequence as a nod to Dr Who, and was pleased that his role was more than that. The recasting of actors that are vastly different than any of their franchise counterparts, destroyed the illusion because hey took some getting used to. but overall it's a cool acion flick, and i don't regret seeing it at all. i'd have given it a 3.5 out of 5. and yeah, everyone left as soon as the credits hit....unwise, as those of us that stuck around know there is sequel potential. :P

Of course there will be sequel potential. It's Hollywood. They will milk Terminator for as long as they can.

There are two more sequels planned, Arnie's in for the next one.

I went into the film blind (didn't even see the trailers on purpose) and seeing Matt Smith there... I actually went "No. Nooooooooooo no no no no he's the bad guy aaaaaaaaaaaagh" and then he does the thing and so on.

Terminator: Genysis

> There are two more sequels planned,

From what I read, they are

Terminator: Intyllivision

and

Terminator: Nintyndo

I've heard the UK version (Terminator: MegaDryve) is 100% more smashing.

And apparently it's becoming vogue ripping off Marvel doing end scenes. The did it in Green Lantern.

Where it has "Phil be back" almost ruins the whole thing. Are they meaning for "Phil" to be pronounced like "File"?

eta: Or is it one of those things that's supposed to be so bad it's funny? When that happens - one usually laughs at the person trying to make said joke instead of the joke itself.

So, what did I miss???

Cheers,

Ralph.
