GitHub links are missing for previous releases
#341290 - 06/10/15 12:34 AM

I'm not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but links on the MameDev.org website to all previous releases (all prior to v.162) of both source and binaries are not functional. Also, the old mingw build tools are also missing from GitHub.

You can still get the source by going to the GitHub page directly: https://github.com/mamedev/mame/releases/

You will notice that the source file names for the previous releases don't have the appended 's'

The binaries are missing entirely however.

Right, we had some issues with the old mirrors around the time of the last release (May 27) and Micko switched all hosting of previous releases over to github. I said I could get around to adding the previous releases and had a sudden attack of Real Life. Gonna be working on it tonight-tomorrow as soon as I find my caffeine.

This doesn't affect the tools, though, so he'll have to fix that himself.

Status update: we're as far back as MAME 0.101 as far as releases online at the moment if you check Github's
Code:

mame

and
Code:

historic-mame

repositories, though only the links to 0.119 and newer work for the moment at mamedev.org.

Thanks for the reply explaining the issue. I hope all of the links are restored at some point.

Certainly the mingw64 tools package remains very useful so hopefully links to that will also be restored.

Cheers.
