Hello,
I'm still learning how to use MAME & MESS and I have a few folders that I still don't know how to use.
These are: - hash - nl_examples - web
Are they useful for a simple utilisation of MAME/MESS ?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks ! I think I'll delete them all.
I read that software lists are useless in MAME, but useful in MESS. I'll try to check to know why...
Edit: OK I saw their utility in MESSUI.

Software lists are not useless in MAME. So far, there are three systems that rely on the software list to load multi-slot games: Neo-Geo, ST-V, Sega Mega-Play.
neogeo.xml (6 slots, 6 games loaded in the machine) stv.xml (10 slots, 10 games loaded in the machine) megaplay.xml (8 slots, 8 games loaded in the machine)
MAME needs those files to load the games. Since the file sizes are so small, I would not recommend you to delete the hash folder.
