Spy Hunter gear shift indicator in artwork file

Hi
Does anybody know if it's possible to display a working gear shift indicator in an artwork file for Spy Hunter?
For example, in Out Run, I have a tag in the .lay file like so (leading < and trailing > removed to stop forum code getting confused):
Code:
bezel element="shifter" inputtag="SERVICE" inputmask="0x10"
From looking at the source of the Spy Hunter driver, it seems the gear shifter also uses an inputmask of 0x10, but when I use the above tag in .lay file, the shifter doesn't change to indicate what gear I'm in.
Any help appreciated.

The port bit is the same but the port name is different. Try changing inputtag="SERVICE" to inputtag="ssio:IP0"
