I don't know about MAMEUI, but baseline MAME supports it.

Code:

mame64 neogeo -memc "C:\MAME64\neogeocard.mc" -cart1 blazstar -cart2 mslug -cart3 kotm -cart4 nitd -cart5 pulstar -cart6 samsho

So far though, I can't seem to figure out how to switch games that are loaded in the other cart slots.

Input (This Game) shows me that next game is key 3 and previous game is key 4 however, they seem to have no effect.

In attract mode it will play one attract loop of each game before switching to the next one.

You have to coin up before those keys do anything. After inserting a coin you should be able to select a game before the countdown to press start reaches zero.

Oh right! Both of those work perfectly.

Thanks for explaining that

You've never actually seen a multi-slot cab with more than one game in it IRL, have you? Damn kids

Actually, multi-slot cabs disappeared pretty quickly IIRC. They were a bit of a novelty at first, but in the end people decided they preferred the one cabinet, one game approach. Cabinets with memory card slots exposed disappeared quickly too, since no-one brought memory cards to the arcade.

You can still buy compatible memory cards:

I've seen a couple multi-slot cabs in the main Arcades I hung out at in my early teen years. I rarely played them because Neo-Geo games didn't really appeal to me compared to the other choices of games available at that time.

you cannot configure it from the UI because software lists and slot options are not adequately supported by the UI component
the easiest way is to launch the neogeo set, then press TAB and go to the File Manager option to mount the carts in the various cart slots

The multi-pac boards work the opposite of this, I dare say, sensical operation. I lost a quarter before I figured out how it worked, and then only with trepidation....

Huh. I've seen and used multislot cabs where you could switch games without inserting a coin. Is that controlled by a setting in the bios?

Not that I know of. All multi-slot cabs I saw behaved like that.

I saw multi- NeoGeo cabs as a kid, and avoided them thinking they were akin to the no-ad Cheerios in the grocery isle that came in a plastic bag. Compared to a full-on Tron cab, for example, they looked like a cheap knock off, what with the little card taped on the marque to tell you what games were in it. As a kid, quarters weren't a dime a dozen (actually, they were five for a dollar ) so I played my quarters miserly.

I never appreciated the awesomeness of NeoGeo until MAME.

I just checked, it's in the Bios in the menu where you set each game's difficulty and stuff. You can choose between "only when credited" and "free" selection.

Yeah, all the ones I've seen here in the US have been "switch without credit" as well.

Ok so I read this thread. I've tried everything. I'm getting the bios and no carts load. Strange thing is I had it working about a month ago! I'm lost! The reason I want to try it again is because I think I saw some memory leaks using it last time. This was version 154. With 155 I thought i'd try it again but can not get it to work! (not even in 154 and I am using mame and\or mameplus same thing) I'm using 152 because of memory leaks in 153 and 154 (also in 155) oddly enough mame plus did/does not have the mem leaks error. Anybody else having this problem with the multislot?

Linux Mint 17 2 Ghz AMD dual-core 2GB RAM

Edit: Ok I solved it. I pulled the hash files from the windows version and replace the linux ones
