I'm looking for some ideas for dealing with this control panel. Without the yoke, it looks like there's a big hole in it. With the yoke added, much of the interesting parts of the artwork that I just spent hours cleaning up are covered over. I thought of making the yoke partially transparent, or stretching it out (Texas Longhorn style) but nothing seems quite right. Anyone have any ideas?

For Me, the Transparent things really works! Maybe a little more opacity (like 2 or 3 pts) but that's about it!

Yeah, the transparency is starting to grow on me. The thing I didn't like was that the big hole in the center is visible but perhaps I can give the center part more opacity than the handles.

What about having 1 showing full controls and a 2nd without? then you have the best of both worlds?

What about filling in the gaping hole and the four carriage bolt holes with black first and then add the translucent overlay? Those super-bright white circles kill the illusion of an actual control panel; if this panel was mounted on an actual machine without the steering column, you'd only see blackness through the holes anyway.

Make everything normal (not transparent) with the exception of JUST the handlebar parts that cover the control panel (and make THOSE transparent only)?

Great minds think alike. That's exactly what I ended up doing.
