Another thing you could do to help Tafoid with his bug report is to run mame verbose:

mame wwfwfest -verbose > verbose.txt
And paste its contents in this thread.

Tested on 0.154 official 64-bit build from mamedev.org with cheats off and I still have the same issue. No intro animation of wrestlers walking down the ramp to the ring.

It was actually first fixed beforehadn by hap.. but yeah - the bug was logged and resolved. Fresh SVN should see this fixed or wait until 0.155.
