Had me an awesome dream.
#331149 - 09/03/14 09:38 PM

Cruisin' along a dirt road in the country on my motorcycle, between the tall grass and trees, but not so many trees that I couldn't enjoy an uninterrupted landscape around me. No buildings, no people, no traffic. Just air, grass, and the dirt road before me.

Pretty much the whole dream, just the sound of the antique engine putt-ing along, some wind in my hair, a subtle dusty trail behind me. This went on and on for a long long time. Just me and the open road.

A few minor things happened... at one point I drifted to the left quite a bit... and a lone car coming from the other way passed me on my right... so I edged back onto myside of the road...

Putt-ed along some more, listening to the antique engine parts spinning in their lubricant underneath me (it can actually be heard).

I did wonder for how long I'd go, and wondered if I shouldn't turn around at some point... when I did finally come to the road's end... it ended at a great big fresh water lake, with a few old high school friends swimming in the water. I parked on the pool table (don't all beaches have a pool table in the sand for parking your motorcycle on?) and just took in the scene for a while, still sitting on my bike enjoying the breeze, the surf, the wind-whipped waves on the shore.

Then I turned my bike around, and started to putt back toward home.

I woke up like... man... I wish I could lay here in bed all day, and go back to that. It was nice.

Yeah, but did you have..... new [Re: GatKong]
#331177 - 09/04/14 08:22 AM

Fried Chicken?

Haha. I just recently woke up.

Oh, I wouldn't call this nice dream, but a dream none-the-less.

Heck, might as well make this my dream journal entry since I can recall a good deal of it.

Event order is mixed

Seems to be a college campus. People of various types are walking around. Up above me a 2nd floor walkway is gone/missing. But a little girl/toddler is on the ground playing with a xylophone. I pick up the xylophone and hold it over my head to where it lines up with the missing section of walk-way. It then turns into the walkway. I (already holding onto the 'xylophone') begin to go hand over hand, then pull myself up to the 2nd level (I walk around here for a bit), then go back down..... There was something about a game (like a video game) but it was in real life (or this dream reality). Felt like Assassin's Creed, or something where I had to do things a certain way. I went down a rope(?) into this room, I had to get someone from outside to come into the room, to open the door, so I could get out. I did. (this is how dream reality usually works, expect something to happen - and it will)

Outside of the room I just got out of there is an attractive girl with black or dark brown hair. I have to get her cell phone number (in order to get something else for the 'game'). I have to decide how to approach her. I can use either a box of chocolates, a flower (seems like it was a black rose, black; like her hair?), or both. I think I only gave her the chocolates... And I can't recall if I succeeded in getting her #. I walked away from the girl. I recall looking at my cell phone's screen and thinking I should've done something differently. The sun seems to be behind my back, and the sidewalk seems to slope downward as it goes underneath a walkway or 2nd story level... This is either a dormitory, or apartment complex with 2 or 3 stories.

Somehow I get into a classroom (I don't recall how I got there). I don't recall seeing anyone I knew... Other than a certain YT celebrity over by the left wall. I'm seated near the center of the class -Hmmm... Almost everyone is looking over at him, then they all look to the back to see a girl with long brown hair enter the classroom. She also has large breasts, and is wearing a white t-shirt, maybe wearing yellow shorts too. She walks past the YT guy, and sits at the desk in front of him. She looks back at him... I think of him when he was younger and wondering if he was shy around girls, his face and hair change and he looks like he did when he was younger, but only for a moment. He looks up at her, then looks down. I'm not sure if it's because he's shy, or doesn't feel like he's good enough for her.....

I was driving.... I came to this restaurant. It's a cafeteria. The dining area reminds me of someone's living room. A cat bed is next to a table or fireplace (not sure). Behind a wall is the cafeteria line. Some people are walking out because the prices are too high. I look, try to see what they're serving, then try to see the menu they have posted up/behind the food servers. They seem a bit high priced, but reasonable... $7 to $8 for a plate... I recall seeing a very large piece of fried chicken, I think someone was eating it. I get a plate of chicken with a leg and thigh... Maybe some other food items (but they don't stand out in my mind)..... I can't seem to recall any other events. I wake up.

^End of dream. Unless I'm still dreaming now! Nah. I've looked back on a good number of dreams I've had in the past, and I noticed that 'Fried Chicken' had seemed to come up somewhere during the events of those dreams. Realizing this, whenever I'd be in a place and circumstance that I've dreamed of in the past; such as when I'm at work setting up the breakfast, and people come in before we're officially opened (after 6:29:59 AM), or they're eating stuff up faster than those things can be restocked... I'd say a Mantra, softly to myself; "Fried chicken, fried chicken, fried chicken." This was to be a trigger word to let me know that I was dreaming. Apparently it doesn't work, I or need to tweak the technique.

I can't seem to lucid dream anymore, or, if I do LD, it's not as vivid, and it's dark.

Then again, my sleep schedule is not what it should be. /end rambling

I don't dream much at all new [Re: GatKong]
#331180 - 09/04/14 08:41 AM

At least I almost never remember dreaming. I guess I blocked out dreams when I was very young... like 3 or 4. My mom says I used to wake up crying about exploding mountains and stuff. Once, I was sick (actually I wasn't feeling bad at all when I went to sleep) and dreamt about being in some park, on a merry-go-round... and the entire park was full of dog shit. I mean like dump truck piles of dog shit... covering the whole park. I woke up from that and puked. I was actually sick for like 2 days...

Now, it's like when I finally fall asleep, everything is black, then my alrm goes off. That's it.

The worst part? I have NEVER had a wet dream (I believe there would be evidence even if I didn't remember having one, but actually did). I'm not bragging... I'm totally jelous!

Just broke my personal record for number of consecutive days without dying!

I don't know as waking in a pool, puddle, or whatever of your own spunk is something to look forward to. I don't think I really had one, either, though some were pretty close.

Your dream stuff makes me wonder whether your imagination was just too wild, or perhaps you were picking up wild stuff in the aether, perhaps both.

Don't let Smitty read that.

If you wake suddenly and to a noise you're much less likely to recall any dreams you had. But the majority of dreams we ever remember are the ones that happen just before we wake up. Those are also supposed to be the longest dream periods/cycles.

I'm not sure advice will do any good, but try to go to bed early, before you start to get drowsy. If you wait to go to bed and you are, or have been deliriously tired - then you'll be far less likely to recall any dreams.

I should probably practice what I preach...

Say to yourself before you go (or attempt) to sleep; "I will remember my dreams, and I will not move after I'm awake."

If you do move, try to get back into the same position you were in. It can be hard to recall what that was.... It takes some practice and discipline.

Hmmm... Maybe if I was more disciplined myself -I'd have more luck with recognizing when I'm dreaming. I did speak to the dream once, and it answered back. You have to be very clear/specific, and don't be afraid to shout it out (don't worry, you won't yell in your sleep). Being lucid can be squandered on pleasures (like flying or sexing up some attractive person). There's so much more to be gained, so much more potential for enlightenment.

It's like I know of this new club, but I can't get in... Or maybe (for lack of a better word) my higher self won't let me in. I'm not ready yet.

So, I was a cop smiley, and the whole city was attacking me with giant explosions from the other side of the river. I ducked between the stacks, where they could no longer fire at me without risking their own destruction.

Scene the second: I drew out the boss, and we battled one-on-one in a room, with him using a pistol and I using a 10-foot long foam rubber crowbar. I hit him twice, and he surrendered.

Cut to later, the two of us are in the apartment we share (WTF?), and as he watches, I change the lock on the door, then reconfigure my key to fit it (not a key card). He reluctantly hands over his key, and I change it to fit the lock, then hand it back, and fade out as we embrace.

And again, WTF?

I had a very strange dream last night. I can't really remember any visuals, but the overarching theme was the taste of pineapple. I could very vividly taste this really great pineapple flavor, and that's kind of it... I can't recall ever having a dream before with an actual sensation of taste/flavor like this. Strange.

Some people engage in various activities while still asleep, most commonly sleep walking, but sometime the activity may be as complex as sleep cooking or even sleep tea bagging.

No... but how could you not want to have sex (even imagined... but you can actually 'feel' it) with one of your dream partners?

Jessica Alba (minus herpes or whatever), Angelina Jolie, 1970s Olivia Newton John, Halley Berry, a favorite porn star... whomever

Haven't had a really good one like that in a long time. Mine usually involve cars and/or guitars.

The worst I've had in recent memory was a few months ago, when I had just started sleeping with a CPAP. In the dream, I encountered a cockroach that was about the size of a small dog. When its antennae touched my face, I startled awake and went to rub my hand on my face. My hand touched the CPAP mask, which, still half asleep, I had forgotten I was wearing. I ripped the mask off in blind panic. I could have sworn I screamed as well, but my wife never woke, so I guess the scream never made it out. Not the best way to start the day.

Strangely, I still have sexual dreams occasionally (including the sensation of orgasm) but I haven't had an "emission" since I stopped sleeping on my stomach many years ago.

All the fun without the mess.
