This guy got it pretty close to that on the Model 2 emulator. How did he get it to look like that, do you need a Arcade VGA card! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ID_nLP0mpUU

TIL that "anti-aliasing" and "running on a CRT" mean the same thing, thanks for teaching me! Clearly everything I know is wrong.

Well yes you are right, you don't know what you are on about.

I hooked a PC up to a Nanao arcade monitor and couldn't notice any difference in the anti-aliasing or smooth-thick-res or geometry or whatever that effect is at all, unless LCD arcade monitors have a setting to do that then it is his CPU and video card that are behind it.

The video is a Sega Rally cabinet from 1994. It is not a PC running mame with a graphics card and CPU, it's Sega Model 2 hardware. There was also no such thing as LCD arcade monitors in 1994. They are a much more recent abomination.

You need taller screens. Those are too short and wide.
