Yay! I've got my car back... -_-
#326570 - 06/04/14 06:38 PM Attachment: sigpic6270961.gif 6 KB (1 downloads)

I've been car-less for the last six months since my son was taking EMT classes as part of his highschool... requiring him to cross town mid-day every day... so he's been driving Gatinha's car everyday, and she's been driving mine... and me... I've been the bum getting rides everywhere from hapless friends and family like some kind of homeless refugee.

Well, my son is graduminated from high school... and I "got" my car back.

But it WREAKS! OMG! WHAT DIED IN THERE? I've cleaned it out, and I can't find the source, but it's sooooo bad, I HAVE to ride with the windows down. WHAT is that smell? Baby funk? Month old dried milk? Vomit? Month old dried vomited baby milk funk? It's not the melted lipstick stain all over the cup holder, I sniffed, that just smells like lips. My next recourse is to start ripping out seats and carpet liners. It has got to be found and cleaned... my God. How did she put up with that?

She's the Hoboken Hobo Killer. Your car smells of dead hobos.

hehe

Check your AC filters. My car has a cartridge that you change out every 1-2 years. Some cars have 2 of them. Usually clears out any funk...

Can you imagine what a vehicle might smell like after 6 people live in it for nearly 30 hours while taking turns travelling 200 miles on foot? It aint good, glad it's not my van. Thanks, Enterprise!

Never lend your shit out. Not even to family members. They can get their own. But, quite obviously, very possibly because you are a civilian, you haven't properly trained your offspring. And that's a neutral statement.

...but his car was being used by his spouse, not his kid.

Yeah, it came to mind afterward and I virtually re-read it (maybe I was perceiving your response!), and was all 'oh, oops', but thanks for calling me on it. The first part of my statement still applies. Really I should stay out of these topics. I'm not the right audience.
