If you've got $5.25 to spare...

...or more!
... Humble Bundle is currently offering an Android-only bundle with R-Type & R-Type II, among other things. I don't know how they compare to the classics, but there they are.

The only game in that bundle that I really want is EnviroBear 2010, and I don't think it's worth that much alone. I've been pretty disappointed with all the Android ports of classics.

Is it by Dotemu? They are known to 'borrow' our code in their ports and then often manage to make it worse. Don't buy from them, use MAME instead =)

I don't give money to the game companies anyway when I use HB, unless it's an indie bundle. I use custom split and give nearly all of it to the charities, with the remainder going to HB themselves.
I don't think I saw anything especially good this time. Certainly not EnviroBear, I've seen gameplay of that.

EnviroBear is actually a very clever game. It gets challenging very quickly without being infuriating. The graphics are intentionally amateurish, and that's part of the charm.

Well, Wil Wheaton just promoted Carcassonne in mobile app form, and that's part of the bundle....

Screw that - Carcassonne's a table-top game, and I'd like to keep it that way. I also don't give a shit about Wil Wheaton.

I sense that you're holding back. Tell us how you REALLY feel.

Well, of course it's a table-top game. That's what he does now. He plays, and promotes the playing of, table-top games on "TableTop," his YouTube series on Geek & Sundry. He was answering a question concerning his thoughts about digital versions of said games.

Personally, I'm very much over the "programmer art as an art style" thing, but thankfully it seems to be on the way out.
