Whats The Deal With MAME now?

Hello.
Its been forever(longer than usual) for a build to come out. Are they still using the U(x) builds?
Is mame still alive?
and what are these R builds?(r28963)
Sorry for all the questions, But rather confused on current state of MAME.

They quit doing the U releases while back. Now these gonna just be the releases. Will take a while longer. Already past two months. Who know when the next release will be on. Right now the MAME/MESS/UME source are unstable so things will get broken and fixes as the changes go on.

um, wrong & wrong. 1. My post did exactly what it was designed to do - to show that you're a horse's ass (which many of us already knew). 2. I really don't care when MAME is released. I just don't like when someone on the MAME team gets an attitude when someone asks a simple question.
But I understand you can't help yourself.
