Anyone know where I can buy a push pull spinner? I already have an Oscar control spinner, but I want a new for Discs of Tron.

Would Front Line count?
Had to push to fire and spin/turn dial to aim but not a "free" spinning dial...

Pessimist: Oh, this can't get any worse!
Optimist: Yes, it can!

I'd say no because it was an 8-way rotary stick. You needed to push in the direction you wanted to move (just like the other rotary stick games). However, as you mentioned, you did have to push-down on the stick to fire.

The stick was a regular 8way for movement. The dial rotated to aim & then was pushed to fire. It's just that the dial was not free spinning. It was notched, like an old TV channel changer button with 8 channels. That's what made the game so much more god awful hard to play. Trying to change stations and pushing while bullets & grenades came flying at you! A rotary (Ikari type) would have made it so much more enjoyable & easier. But you had to start somewhere to get to Ikari. It was a lesson well learned by Taito.
