what does "Chuter Mode" or "Chute Type" do in an arcade cabinet?

what does "Chuter Mode" or "Chute Type" do in an arcade cabinet? along with a "C. Dispenser", what is that too?

"Chuter" or "Shooter" is Japanese English for "coin chute".
I'm not sure what the "dispenser" supported by Hispanic/Brazilian versions of CPS2 games is. Maybe one of our Brazilian members can chime in?

This clever option helped adapt the conversion kit to a variety of cabinets with different coin chute configurations.
TMNT had 4 players and 4 chutes, each were separate and each chute coined-up a different player.
But if you put it in a different cabinet with 2 chutes, you would have to set it to "1 Chute / Common" or similar setting to fix the problem. Not every multiplayer game had this setting at first, but it became popular later, especially on Capcom boards.

dispenser: some capcom machines would give you cards when you reached some score or killed some fighters in sf 2 alpha.

I'd have said "c. Dispenser" was a coin dispenser though.
Maybe something to do with giving change?
