System16.com updated

System 16 has been updated a couple of times, including a new "most wanted" (but unlikely to appear) Sega game...

Talking of rad mobile R360. I still believe that there was an R360 with afterburner being operated in the basement of hamley's. Someone else mentioned a cab that was impossible to control.

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?3...u-the-Sega-R360

"Had a go in one of these when i was a wee lad in Hamleys. Was a bit frantic i couldnt stop the fooking thing spinning lol"

My memory was holding the joystick kept you spinning, even though the plane onscreen would only be banking at 45 degrees. You'd end up upside down if you released the joystick and you were upside down, it was basically impossible to play it without feeling sick.

Whether they had the R360 before GLOC came out or it broke and they just put an afterburner board in it. It was definitely afterburner in it, AFAICT GLOC has a HUD not a plane on screen.

>System 16 has been updated a couple of times,

Good updates. In case I forgot, from my previous message to you, here is a preliminary snap image of Midway Leader from rich. It is really Ramtek Wipe Out not Leader because the proms came from a Wipe Out pcb bought by StephenH years earlier.

Midway Leader pcb is still needed even though the prom data would likely be the same and gameplay would be same.

Torture, that's what it is...I got my PlayStation 4 delivered (on launch day!) but it's for the family Christmas present, so I can't play it yet... it's just sitting there taunting me, beckoning me to play it...

The PS4 must be getting a work out there.

I wouldn't put anything past Shoutime at this point.

I just saw the variant earlier today, and it doesn't surprise me to why Rad Mobile was a scrapped candidate (i.e. the game wouldn't be able to take advantage of the 360 thing since there isn't any form of inversion in RM, and the conversion setup would've been a financial nightmare due to how expensive the R360 already was).

Unless it has been proven not to exist (one guy supposedly had the PCB but wouldn't allow it to be dumped), I believe Jaleco's "Shatterhand" is an undumped Playchoice-10 game.

It wouldn't have made a good conversion kit because Rad Mobile and G-Loc came out pretty much at the same time. You don't go upside down in G-Loc unless you get hit, so they could have made crashes roll the car in Rad Mobile like they do in Outrun. But if you put Rad Mobile and G-Loc next to each other at a trade show, then G-Loc is going to be the one the operators go for.

Strike fighter released the next year would have made more sense as an upgrade kit, because there you can actually fly upside down.

None of the R360 games were really any good, so once you'd got suckered into buying one then it's unlikely you'll want to spend more money on it.

It is listed on Bobby's unMAMEd page, but not on the undumped Wiki page.

I am not sure why, but someone else might know.

There is some physical evidence of existence of UPL's Friday

For some time, I was doubtful about existence of both Atari/Kee Games' Crossfire and Allied Leisure Zap, but they did exist. Keith Smith did post info from his interview with an Atari executive that Crossfire was a limted test or a limited released game. I am not sure about the info concerning Allied Leisure's Zap.

Adam and Rich do have schematics for Crossfire.

Keep an eye on DICE page. Maybe the 0.8 release might have Crossfire emulated.

http://adamulation.blogspot.com/

I have logic schematics of Allied Leisure Zap so that will be in the works of eventual emulation as well. It's just that Adam and Rich were sent a few items a couple months ago so they have their hands full. Guessing from a couple weeks earlier, DICE 0.8 release should have Ramtek Clean Sweep and Ramtek Wipe Out emulated.

Although a PSE Knights in Armor pcb, with its two roms, has yet to be found, there might be a chance of partial emulation of Knights in Armor.

I wonder about that game too. There was also "Pushover" by Ocean for the "Nintendo Super System" on early wanted lists.

On the subject of the R360, there were two systems in use weren't there? One was the game board obviously but didn't the R360 have a second controlling board to run the cabinet and if so, is there any interests into getting it emulated?

Thanks for the better, readable image. Be interesting to see what the game looks like.
